FEC's public-communications explanation defines a disclaimer as identifying who paid for a communication and, where applicable, who authorized it. That attribution serves a different purpose from a contribution record. Measurement should keep communications sponsorship and collected contributions separate; this definition is not a personalized compliance determination or evidence of electoral support.
WinRed distinguishes pausing for one interval from canceling future recurring contributions, and also allows a separate frequency change. These are different donor-administration actions. A campaign finance workflow should record the chosen action and actual collected contributions rather than treat a pause as permanent cancellation or assume scheduled future gifts have been paid.
WinRed describes a Money Pledge as an additional donation charged on a specified future date, with a separate confirmation and cancellation route. Signing up for the pledge is not proof that its future charge has occurred. Measurement should distinguish the initial contribution, future commitment and successfully collected additional gift rather than report the pledge as current cash.
Vote.org describes several registration routes, including transfer to a state's website or generation of a form to mail. Its FAQ separately explains registration-status checks and notes that recently submitted records may take time to update. Tool use, form submission and a confirmed registration record are distinct stages; none is evidence that a ballot has been cast.
