Should a respite offer be presented as rehabilitation after a medical event?
Brookdale's US page distinguishes respite's temporary caregiver relief from rehabilitation support for recovery from a medical event or chronic health issue. Advertiser copy should identify which service is actually offered rather than merging those routes. This distinction is not a recommendation about an individual's care.
Does a short respite booking imply an automatic ongoing arrangement?
Brookdale says US respite services can be arranged once or regularly. Extending a community stay or at-home support is described conditionally, when the person's needs match continued support. Suggested practice: distinguish initial enquiry, confirmed schedule and agreed extension rather than treating temporary interest as an ongoing contract.
